The Accommodation boasts modest prices for Student Accommodation in Canberra, being hotly contested as a convenient residence whilst attending University.
2014 pricing for Arscott House depends on the length of stay booked:
- Whole Academic Year (41 weeks) – $295.00 per week
- Single Semester (16 weeks) – $320.00 per week
The University of Canberra takes extreme pride in offering this Accommodation to students which includes:
- Three Daily Meals, Seven Days a Week
- Electricity, Heating, Gas, Water
- Accommodation Parking (Which will attract a small fee as of 2014)
- Large Single Bed
- Interactive Commons and Study Areas
- A Diverse mix of Students
- Access to Mentoring from a Residential Support Officer
- and Access to Internet and Telephone (These utilities attract their own fee)
These features are all included (except where noted) in the fee for each student’s stay at Arscott House. This truly offers students top-class residential accommodation to aid in successful studies here at the University of Canberra.
As a Student myself, having studied in both Queensland and the ACT, I know the value of good accommodation that supports your ability to learn both individually and as part of a community. Arscott House achieves these goals and many more and I know will continue to into the future.
The brilliance of this Accommodation is that decisions as to its goals, objectives and policies have to be analysed by the UCSA first – giving Arscott House a unique, By the Students, For the Student’s atmosphere. The staff that run Arscott House are also tied to the UCSA and students thus have a say on who the staff are that run Arscott House and maintain it’s features.
I implore students to investigate this accommodation as an alternative to paying extreme amounts elsewhere and know for sure that it will be somewhere you want to call home.
